What is HHCPM (hexahydrocannabiphorol monomethyl ether) ?

HHCPM or hexahydrocannabiphorol monomethyl ether is an innovative cannabinoid compound derived from HHCP.   • Adding an ethyl group (CH2CH3) - modifies a specific part of the molecule, changing the structure and properties of the substance.
  • Methylation of the oxygen group (-CH3) - adding -CH3 to the structure of the molecule - produces a methyl ether, which can increase the solubility of the substance and possibly alter its biological activity in relation to body receptors.

The result is a low viscosity HHCPM, which means it is relatively fluid and ideal for a wide variety of applications. It can be easily squeezed out of a syringe at room temperature.

The molecular formula of HHCPM is C24H38O2 - it contains 24 carbon atoms, 38 hydrogen atoms and 2 oxygen atoms. As a hydrogenated compound, like HHC and H4CBD, HHCPM consists of 2 stereoisomers:

  • 9(R)-HHCP methyl ether, also 9β-Hexahydrocannabiphorol methyl ether and 9β-HHCP methyl ether
  • 9(S)-HHCP methyl ether, also 9α-Hexahydrocannabiphorol methyl ether, 9α-HHCP methyl ether, 11α-Hexahydrocannabiphorol methyl ether and 11α-HHCP methyl ether

Scientific studies have already shown that the 9(R) isomer has a high affinity for CB1 receptors in the endocannabinoid system, making it psychoactive. In contrast, the 9(S) molecule is considered to be an inactive component.

For example, there is research from 2023 on the cannabinoid HHC. In it, researchers confirmed that the 9(R) molecule binds to CB1 and CB2 receptors with similar potency to THC, while the 9(S) isomer showed only minimal activity in functional tests.

Effects of HHCPM

As HHCPM is a new cannabinoid, there are no scientific studies yet describing how it works in the body and what specific effects it has.

Based on findings with other psychoactive cannabinoids such as HHC, HHCP, THCP and THCJD, HHCPM can be expected to induce changes in perception, feelings of euphoria, relaxation and increase appetite.
