Accessibility statement

Declaration of accessibility

  1. Introduction

The https://www.canaturawholesale.com/ online store  operated on the Upgates platform (hereinafter referred to as the "e-shop") undertakes to make its website accessible in accordance with Act No. 424/2023 Coll. on the accessibility of products and services and Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act). This statement applies to the listed domains and their language versions, as they share the same technology platform and common accessibility principles. The common goal is to comply with the accessibility rules of the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard so that the e-shop can be fully used by every user, including people with disabilities (we will take into account the update of EN 301 549 to WCAG 2.2 as soon as it is harmonized in the next revision of the statement).

  1. Accessibility status

The e-shop website already largely complies with the requirements of the above law and the WCAG 2.1 AA standard, but it is not yet 100% compliant. In other words, the site is partially accessible – the vast majority of content and features are accessible without barriers, but some elements do not yet meet all the requirements. We are working intensively on the identified deficiencies. The e-shop operator continuously improves the accessibility of text and image content (especially adding alternative captions to images) and supervises the correct use of the site structure. At the same time, we are working closely with the platform vendor Upgates to remove the technical limitations of the system that have so far prevented full compliance.

  1. Assessment method used

The accessibility of the e-shop was assessed by a combination of automated tests and expert evaluation (WAWE, Pa11y, Lighthouse). We used tools for automatic accessibility checking. These tests were supplemented by an internal (direct) check of the site. The evaluation was carried out on samples of the e-shop page. The declaration is based on its own assessment carried out as of 23.6.2025.

  1. Inaccessible content

Despite our efforts, there are a few known areas on the sites that are not yet fully accessible:

  • A few images or icons on the site lack a corresponding alternative text description. This means that these graphic elements may not be comprehensible, for example, for users of screen readers, because they do not contain textual information about their meaning. In practice, these are isolated cases of decorative icons or images where an alternative caption will be added.
  • Some form elements and buttons lack clear labels or markings. Users using assistive technologies may have difficulty determining the purpose of a particular field or button (e.g. a field for entering an email in a newsletter may not be correctly identified, or a button to submit a form does not have a text label). These shortcomings are currently being addressed as part of the modifications to the platform.
  • Some pages integrate external elements (e.g. advertising or analytics modules) in the form of an iframe, which do not have a title describing their content. Furthermore, minor technical errors in the code structure, such as duplicate element identifiers, were found. These technical flaws may in some cases affect accessibility (e.g. make it difficult for assistive technologies to navigate the page). We are working to ensure that these elements are also fully compliant with accessibility rules in the future.

These shortcomings result mainly from the current technical limitations of the Upgates platform, on which the e-shop runs. In cooperation with the platform vendor, modifications to the system and the gradual removal of these obstacles are already underway.

  1. Contact feedback

We ask for feedback from all visitors to our website. If you encounter an accessibility problem while using the e-shop, have difficulty controlling a function or need to make any content available in an alternative form, do not hesitate to contact us. We will handle your suggestions and requests and do everything we can to help you.

  1. Enforcement procedure

If you do not receive a satisfactory response, you can file a complaint with the Digital and Information Agency (DIA):

  1. Conclusion

The e-shop operator is aware of the fundamental importance of digital accessibility and is committed to continuously improving its e-shops for all users. We regularly review and update the content and features of the sites to ensure they meet the latest standards and recommendations.

This website was launched before 28 June 2025 and currently benefits from a transitional period as a service provider pursuant to § 28 para. 4 of Act No. 424/2023 Coll., on the accessibility of products and services. The service is therefore partially compliant with the requirements of EN 301 549 / WCAG 2.1 AA. Based on an internal plan, we are gradually removing the identified barriers and expect to achieve full compliance by June 28, 2030 at the latest, or sooner according to the Upgates technical adjustment schedule.

Our teams, together with the developers of Upgates, are working hard to remove the remaining barriers – the goal is to provide a fully barrier-free and comfortable shopping experience for all customers as soon as possible.

This statement was prepared on 23 June 2025 and will be revised at least once a year or sooner if there are significant changes to the technical design or content of the website.
