HHCP: The power that attracts customers

What is HHC-P?

HHC-P, full name hexahydrocannabiphorol, is a newly discovered cannabinoid, a derivative of HHC (hexahydrocannabinol). It is produced synthetically in the laboratory and does not occur in the cannabis plant. The HHC-P molecule has two more carbon atoms in the alkyl chain than HHC.

The chemical structure of HHC-P bears a striking resemblance to another known cannabinoid, THC-P. Both of these compounds have the same seven-carbon tail, so it is thought that the properties of these two cannabinoids could be similar. Both THCP and HHC-P are among the cannabinoids with the highest potency, HHC-P is often referred to as the most potent cannabinoid.

What are the effects of HHC-P?

Like other cannabinoids, HHC-P binds to CB1 and CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system. The aforementioned THC-P is 33 times more active on CB1 receptors than THC, as evidenced by a 2019 study. It is said that HHC-P could be even more active.

What does this mean? That HHC-P is likely to attract customers looking for potent effects. Among the most commonly cited are:

  • Euphoria
  • stress relief
  • relaxation
  • better sleep
  • increased appetite

The effects of HHC-P usually take a few tens of minutes to take effect, but can last for several hours.

Recall that HHC and both derivatives, HHC-O and HHC-P, also have psychoactive effects, meaning they can cause changes in perception.

Side effects

As responsible sellers, you should also warn your customers of the possible risks. Related to this is the fact that there are no known long-term side effects of HHC-P on the body, as it is a new cannabinoid and there are no clinical studies to confirm or refute the side effects.

The listing of possible short-term side effects is based on information on better known cannabinoids with similar properties. Based on this analogy, the following may occur after taking HHC-P:

  • dry mouth
  • anxiety
  • redness of the eyes
  • insomnia
  • rapid heartbeat
  • dizziness
  • paranoia

Customers should be aware that, especially with such strong cannabinoids, it is essential to start with a small dose.

HHC-P: What products can you offer customers?

Vape foams (vaping pens), cartridges and flowers are the most popular. The disposable vape pens contain HHC-P distillate and, like the replaceable cartridges, are available in several variants and flavours. Cannabinoids and terpenes are known to work better together than individually, so we've included blends that combine HHC-P with HHC, CBD or HHC-O.

HHC-P flowers are cannabis buds with high CBD content and minimal THC (up to 0.2%), infused with HHC-P distillate. New are pre-rolls, pre-packaged joints with HHC-P and the permitted amount of THC.

Our white label and bulk offer allows you to choose HHC, HHC-P and HHC-O products according to your preferences and customer requirements and sell them under your own brand. In addition, you are guaranteed advantageous prices when you buy larger quantities.

Summary

The cannabis market is moving forward. If you want to keep up with the times and meet customer demand, follow the trends and expand your offer with new cannabinoids such as HHC-P. This cannabinoid is interesting because of its activity on CB1 receptors and the associated potent effects. However, even with HHC-P there are side effects that customers should be aware of. Always ensure the safe origin and purity of the products you offer. Also, be sure to keep up to date with recent changes in laws and regulations regarding the use, sale and distribution of new cannabinoids.
