Vaporizer review - Linx Blaze
Easy to use
Vaporizer pens are relatively simple devices and the Linx Blaze is no exception. As with most vaporizer pens, the Blaze turns on after 5 quick button presses, while 3 presses of the same button will set the desired temperature. This feature makes the device suitable even for beginners.
Before use, simply remove the mouthpiece from the atomiser and insert a small amount of material the size of a grain of rice into the chamber. Once you're ready for action, simply hold down the button during inhalation and steam will begin to form!
If you then leave the device without action for 5 minutes, you will need to unlock it again with five more presses.
Cleaning
Cleaning is easy too. All you need is a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol. To make the process even easier, it is advisable to warm the atomiser slightly to loosen the accumulated dirt.
Cleaning, on the other hand, should be done quite frequently. If the wax is allowed to harden and remain in the vaporizer for a longer period of time, cleaning will be much more complicated!
Temperature setting
There are only 4 preset temperatures to choose from. Unfortunately, their exact values and the user has to settle for a simple description of low, medium, medium-high and high temperatures, which correspond to the colours blue, green, yellow and red!
I would appreciate an OLED display showing the exact temperature or another way to set it. While four preset temperatures seem like a convenient solution, I personally prefer more freedom.
Design & processing
My first impression out of the box was that I was holding a premium product. It feels nice in the hand, looks amazing and every part is well crafted. The stainless steel finish is very attractive to look at.
Included in the package is a fairly standard kit containing a battery, quartz atomizer, ceramic atomizer, magnetic mouthpiece cap, two glass mouthpieces, dab tool, USB cable, all in a sleek resealable hard case. So you won't see any outright gadgets, but it's by no means a disappointment.
Portability and discretion
The Blaze is almost so small that it can be completely hidden in a clenched fist, and is very light. It fits comfortably in almost any pocket, let alone a backpack. Plus, it's not too different from a regular electronic cigarette.
Interchangeable parts
Blaze's modular design allows you to rotate all the parts. Atomisers, mouthpiece, filter section can be replaced.
Vapour quality
If you are looking for the purest taste, you will love Blaze! Although you can read in online reviews that the amount of vapour produced is rather less with both of the included atomizers, it is perfectly sufficient in my opinion.
But I definitely feel that the Blaze is one of the best vapor quality and flavors you can find on the market. That's also why I'm glad for the decision to bet on a professionally made full-spectrum CBD concentrate, specifically Girl Scout Cookies from Golden Buds, for the material I use, as opposed to other reviews. Its flavor and aroma really stood out when used in the Blaze.
Due to the relatively short vapour path, the two highest temperature settings can irritate the throat and lungs, although this is not exceptional compared to other devices.
Batteries
The 900mAh battery is sufficient, but I feel like the vapik could use a little more power, and charging via micro USB takes about 2 hours.
My overall assessment of the vaporizer is then strongly knocked by the lack of a battery status indicator. Supposedly the light flashes 8 times, which is a signal that it's time to charge the battery. However, I didn't notice it the whole time, and I only found out that the vaping machine was running low each time when it simply wouldn't turn on. Not to be rude and vulgar, but this really didn't work. If that's not a problem for you, feel free to add an extra ten percent to your rating.
Rating
Linx continues to impress with their versatile and beautifully designed range of portable pens and the Blaze can rightly be considered their flagship product. The flavour of the vapour produced is unrivalled, plus very little material can be used to achieve a superior experience. In addition, the modularity of the Blaze is absolutely unique, plus it's all wrapped up in an elegant coat.
Conclusion
I am satisfied with Linx Blaze, but there are a few details missing. For example, a slightly stronger battery, more accurate temperature settings and especially a clearer low battery signal.
