Review of Volcano Hybrid vaporizer
As the name suggests, this device combines the best of two different worlds. One is a room full of free-floating balloons inflated with vapour from herbs, the other is inhaling these vapours directly from the vaporizer, using a tube that connects in place of the aforementioned balloons. The use of the tube has similar advantages to the balloons - firstly, its length allows the vapours to cool sufficiently before inhalation.
A nice bonus is that owners of the previous model can also use the old balloons with the new vaporizer.
Volcano Hybrid also boasts an improved touchscreen display that makes adjusting temperatures a breeze. If you want a more thorough setup, Storz & Bickel comes with another new feature, which is the option (not obligation) of bluetooth control. To do this, simply download the S&B app on your smartphone and pair the two devices. This whole operation should take you a few minutes in an optimal case. For me, with a minor hiccup during the update, which was probably caused by a storm in the digital universe, it took almost half an hour (that's the only reason why the rating doesn't shine a lovely 100%). But it worked, and from that moment on everything was running completely smoothly.
In addition to the basic settings, you can use your mobile phone to determine, for example, the heating of herbs or the automatic pumping of air at selected time intervals.
Another big improvement over the previous model is the double helix heat exchanger, which allows herbs to be heated very quickly - in under 40 seconds.
I already mentioned the quality manufacturing and premium materials used in the review of the previous model, and of course this is still true, the design is even more sophisticated and elegant thanks to the touch screen.
One thing that thankfully hasn't changed is the premium quality and taste of the vapours produced, which are simply unsurpassed.
The most important change is the possibility of inhaling the vapour directly through the tube. Not everyone will use it and the silicone aftertaste during the first few puffs may put you off using it again, but after a short time you will realise what possibilities it opens up in your vaping universe. Don't be afraid to try new things.
Verdict
The Volcano Hybrid is the best desktop vaporizer on the market. Compared to its predecessors, it has improved performance, user interface and overall functionality. If you don't already own a desktop vaporizer, have a budget and want the absolute best of the best, get the Volcano Hybrid!
