Flowermate CAP vaporizer review
How easy is it to use?
I must admit that for the reason of easy use, the Flowermate CAP is dedicated rather for new users. Five presses activate it; three presses set temperatures. It cannot be any simpler! Three LED lights form a primary display that shows the currently set temperature. Blue represents the lowest temperature 196 °C, green goes for 205 °C, and red is 215 °C. Such a selection is good enough, but I personally would prefer a wider one, with more options. Regarding the blue setting, 195 °C is a relatively high starting point. It is simply because the usual starting point sits at 180 °C as vaporizers produce a natural herb flavour at this temperature.
Cleaning
Cleaning is quite effortless. With a little brush included, you can easily reach and clean the chamber mash, including the mouthpiece. From time to time, it is necessary to dip the mouthpiece into a solution of isopropyl alcohol. This helps to get rid of collected dirt and remains of used material. Therefore, cleaning is all over very simple and user friendly.
Battery
The Flowermate CAP is a seriously small device. I would have, therefore, expected that the battery life would be just average. However, one full recharge was enough for about five proper sessions. Thus, considering the size, I was fairly surprised.
The battery cannot be removed, but that is not a flaw considering the size and price of this model. Charging is done by using the standard micro USB connector. It takes less than an hour to charge the battery fully.
The heating system and the size of the chamber
Pretty much every vaporizer, that is considered as cheap, has a ceramic conduction chamber. Yet, the chamber in this model slightly differs. Its size is suitable for personal use and cannot be adjusted. Frankly, I do not see a reason why it should be adjustable. You can only fit about 0.1 g of material into the chamber.
The heating time is about 20 seconds, which is very impressive! Be aware that you can only vape dry herbs with this device!
The quality of vapours
I must admit that this device amazed me right at the first try! The taste is surprisingly more distinct than you can experience with other portable vaporizers and the flow of the air surprises with its easiness. Yet still, if you wish to have a stronger resistance, you can cover the input holes. In general, the production of vapours is good, but not breath-taking.
There is a cooling path made of zircon which is built within the mouthpiece, and it actually cools down the vapours before they reach your mouth. The path is completely isolated from the electronics, which is praiseworthy.
Considering its size, the Flowermate CAP becomes a champion when it comes to the quality of vapours.
How discreet is it?
It weighs only 52 grams. If this is not satisfying enough, I am not sure what should be as it is small and super light!
Its dimensions are only 3by 9.2 by 2 centimetres. It is smaller than the Pax 3 and very similar to the DaVinci MIQRO. Therefore it becomes very distinct as you would wish. The only slight demerit is the smell produced when in use. is not as strong as if you would smoke, yet it is still enough to fill an average sizeroom.
For whom is it suitable?
The Flowermate CAP is an outstanding device for those who are beginners or new to vaping. Using is simple, and the vaporizer is highly effective with its distinctive properties. If you are on the hunt for a vaporizer that meets these criteria, go for this one!
Moreover, due to its functionality, more experienced users, who favour a mobile, ultralight herb vaporizer, will find it fulfilling too.
Also, in case you do not desire to spend an exorbitant amount of cash, this device will gain your sympathies. However, the battery lifetime and the size of the chamber will not be satisfying for heavy users.
Rating
Considering its size and low price, this little device stands out as a very interesting product. Although it is equipped with a conduction system, it produces fairly telling flavour. If you are looking for one of the smallest vaporizers on the market, you should consider this one. On the other hand, if you fall into the group of heavy users and vape often, this device will not be your cup of tea.
Verdict
If you are after a cheap vaporizer that is finely built, the Flowermate CAP becomes the right choice. However, if you are a regular vaper, throw in some extra cash to buy a higher-class device.
